about

With Jeff Kollman's old school rifferage and the amazingly diverse, moody and funky songs that Cosmosquad have thrown together, 'Acid Test' is easily one of the best records of the year, instrumental or not. There is a coolness factor from note one on this record that can't be denied. Be prepared for a great record with amazing musicianship and even better songs. Cosmosquad rules!
- Sea of Tranquility

The things Kollman does here are tasty into a John 5 and Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert zone. In fact, if you think about it, the bar has really been raised in recent years. These instrumental wanks have to astonish; the acrobatics have to be three things: acrobatic, yes, but also novel and valid as accessible pieces of music. Look no further than ‘The Spy Who Ate Her’ for about 12 examples of that, times three, equals 36.
- Brave Words

'Acid Test' is an excellent new record with memorable songs, sparse, real trio arrangements, tight production and superb, live-sounding instrument tones from all players. Well done, boys.
- Satan Stole My Teddybear

This album’s updated Owsley experience is just the thing for your Kool-Aid party. Just stay away from high windows.
- Metal Jazz

'Acid Test' is a strong album willed with instrumental excursions out of the ordinary, but not so far out as not to be groove-laden and completely enjoyable to listen to. These guys have great chops and know how to construct songs that rock as well as dig a little deeper. You will not be disappointed.
- Critical Outcast

But oh what instrumental excellence is found on the disk. Those with a taste for Chick Corea and Al Di Meola, for instance, or perhaps Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, will find much to like in Cosmosquad’s 'Acid Test'.
